Warm, friendly and qualified staff

The staff provide a warm, friendly atmosphere and the development of your child is encouraged at their own pace. Activities to stimulate each child include music, outdoor play and stories. Each year staff contribute to the ongoing business plan by devising individual plans to develop their own units.

Staff at Scallywags are qualified with diplomas in early years or equivalent qualifications, and some have degrees in early childhood studies. We also employ early years teachers and are a training facility for Early Years Professionals and the University. All staff are trained regularly in first aid, food hygiene and safeguarding.

The staff are humorous, amiable and loving with the children, who very much enjoy their time at nursery. A key-worker system is in place for all age groups, with your child's key worker documenting their needs and progress and on hand to discuss any concerns.
